Our Philosophy
The Academy takes pride in our loving relationships with students. We treat them with dignity at all times. We adapt to each child’s best learning styles. We use individual instruction, a predictable daily schedule, sensory input and behavioral intervention in a program tailored to each child.

The Academy
Established in 2005, by a parent of two children with Autism, the Academy was created to improve the quality of life and independence of children with autism by providing an affordable education alternative to all families of Central Florida.

Our Mission
Our primary mission is to provide an affordable education alternative, outside the public school system, for low and middle income families with children who have special needs. We serve students whose specific needs may not be able to be addressed at other schools, and take pride in their social and academic progress.

The Academy for Autism is made up of a team of professionals dedicated to the field of special education. We specialize in working with individuals on the autism spectrum. Our team has extensive training in multiple disciplines including: autism, exceptional student education, varied exceptionalities, applied behavior analysis, Speech and Language pathology and Occupational and Physical therapy. Our team prides itself on our collaborative approach in working with our parents, teachers and therapists. Our collaborative approach is what makes our program effective and allows our students to meet their maximum potential in academics, social skills and independence.
